Pioneering Legal Education: Championing Academic Excellence and Inclusion

Founded in 1990, the Haim Striks Law School at the College of Management made history as Israel’s first private law school. Established by Israel Prize Laureate and former Minister of Justice Prof. Daniel Friedman, it transformed legal education by extending admissions beyond the limited sphere of three public universities. Dedicated to broadening Israel’s legal elite, the school opened its doors to exceptional students from underrepresented communities, cultivating a lasting tradition of social inclusion. Today, it has over 5,000 graduates, many of whom serve as prominent partners in leading law firms, sit on the bench, or teach at top institutions in Israel, the United States, and Europe.

A faculty renowned for academic excellence anchors the school, including eminent scholars and adjuncts such as retired Supreme Court President Justice Asher Grunis, Deputy President Justice Eliezer Rivlin, and Justices Yoram Dantziger and Uri Shoham, along with other retired judges and leading attorneys from Israel’s top firms. Their collective expertise ensures students receive rigorous, theory-based training paired with practical exposure.

The school’s research centers include the Brandeis Center for Law, Economy and Democracy, an innovative “Labor Law and Tech Lab,” the Concord Center for integrating international law into Israeli law, the Wiener Center for Legal Ethics, a Therapeutic Law Center, the Emile Zola Chair for Interdisciplinary Human Rights Dialogue, and the Heth Center for Research in Regulation and Competition Law. Through the “Matters” Clinical Center, students gain hands-on experience providing legal aid to underserved communities and driving policy reform. Externship programs place students in judges’ chambers and legal departments of major commercial entities and public institutions. Embracing the global dimension of law, the school offers study-abroad courses, moot court competitions, and partnerships with prestigious institutions worldwide.

Set on a lush, vibrant campus just 15 km south of Tel Aviv, the Haim Striks Law School warmly welcomes you to the conference.
